Watermelon Green Tea Refresher

This fruity drink is refreshing and sweet – perfect for those hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp loose-leaf jasmine green tea, or plain green tea (or use 2 tea bags in place of loose-leaf)
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 2 cups diced watermelon
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Add the water to a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. 
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat. Add the green tea to a tea strainer. Place the strainer in the water and let it steep for about 3 minutes. 
  3. Remove the strainer and let the water cool down completely. You can prepare the tea a few hours in advance and keep it in the refrigerator.
  4. Place the diced watermelon, lime juice, maple syrup, and salt in a high-speed blender. Add the chilled green tea and blend on high speed for 5-10 seconds, or until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness to your liking.
  5. Fill two glasses with ice and pour the watermelon tea into each glass. Serve immediately!

Chia Green Tea Energy Drink

Combine antioxidant-rich green tea with the nutritional powerhouse of chia seeds and get beauty benefits inside and out.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups green tea
  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 tsp honey (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 cups of green tea and let cool.
  2. Add chia seeds and let sit for 10 minutes or until the consistency thickens.
  3. Add honey and stir. Place the mixture in the refrigerator and allow to chill.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp loose-leaf green tea (or use 2 tea bags)
  • 1 Tbsp dried rose petals
  • 1 Tbsp whole coriander seeds
  • 4 cups filtered water, divided

Instructions

  1. Place the green tea, rose petals, and coriander in a pitcher. 
  2. Bring half a cup of water not quite to a boil. 
  3. Pour it over the tea leaves, wait ten seconds, then add the remaining 3 1/2 cups unheated water. 
  4. Refrigerate for 4 to 8 hours, depending on how strong you prefer the tea. Strain and serve over ice.

Metabolism Boosting Green Tea Smoothie

On busy summer days, when you can barely find the time to eat, much less fit in a 30-minute workout, this super simple 4-ingredient smoothie will jump-start your metabolism and keep you burning calories all day long.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chilled green tea
  • 1 3/4 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • Banana or raw honey for sweetness (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in the base of a blender and blend until smooth. 
  2. If you prefer your smoothie a little sweeter, you can add a banana or raw honey to taste and blend.

  1. Muddle the lime juice, mint, arugula, and sugar together in a tall glass until the leaves bruise lightly.
  2. Add ice until the glass is about 3/4 full, then pour in the chilled green tea.
